Hi Everyone,

Things are moving along at a fair old pace here at WyndyMilla. As we mentioned in the last blog, the new kit is in the shop. We’ve took the decision to design the kit from the ground up so it includes some great features like Lycra sleaves and shoulders on the jerseys and higher quality 240g Lycra in the shorts. As well as being available in the shop, all the kit is also available online in our eShop, check it out at HERE.

Another big update to the website is the performance services that we’re offering at WyndyMilla HQ. We don’t just make some of the sexiest bikes on the road, we really are a “One Stop Go Faster Shop”. So if you need you training or diet to be given a jolly good shake up or if you’re feeling the aches and pains of riding, check out the new “Fitting and Performance” section of the site HERE.

Hi Everyone,

It’s been a busy summer here at WyndyMilla as we push towards our official press launch at the Cycle Show at Earls Court from the 7th to the 10th of October. We do hope you’ll have time to come visit our stand (B8). .

New Kit in the Extended Shop

We’ve also extended the shop which has given us almost double the original space to play with. So now we have a dedicated room for bike fitting and a separate showroom for all the lovely new bikes. So if you get a chance, pop in and have look at the place. 

Two new faces have joined Henry and Scott. Matt Wakeford is our new part time mechanic and Ben Hallam is pushing the WyndyMilla bike fitting to a new level as well as offering biomechanical analysis, sports massage and injury rehab.

The test team have been hammering the prototype bikes up and down the country collecting a number of wins including a divisional championship. The full production models are now ready to roll, you can check out the bike page of the new website for the pictures.

Hi to everyone, team Wyndymilla started off the year in style by hitting Club La Santa in Lanzarote for some sunshine cycling. My first visit to the island and it won’t be my last!! Not really knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised to be riding in short sleeves and shorts every day, with two groups meeting up for body fat checks first thing every other day and then riding out of La Santa all abilities very catered for, riding was fun and sometimes hard but really does make a huge difference to start the year off like this. Back in the UK (you may remember) was snow, snow and more snow (so we were told…) so made it even more enjoyable.

Everyone who came is now part of the Wyndymilla family and having met some of you for the first time I look forward to seeing you again next January.

Anyone who likes the idea of a winter training camp, riding your bikes but also getting vital training/nutritional/recovery advice with Wyndymilla keep a look out for details on next years trip coming soon.

Hi to you, the Wyndymilla followers. 2010 is a new year and although we are almost into March welcome to the new updated blog. You should find the page updated more regularly now due to everyone finally settling in at the new hq in Seale, Surrey. For anyone who has not been to Wyndymilla hq feel free to pop along anytime to talk about your cycling goals for the coming season. Someone from the the mob will be here to pass on some advice or if you just want a chat.

It’s getting cold isn’t it!? Yes, I actually had to scrape ice off my windscreen yesterday. . The thought of neoprene overshoes and full length gloves looms frighteningly close. Hells bells, you may even have to get the Turbo out, eeer yuk!

OK, now stop that!! None of that modern SAD thingy wotsit at WyndyMilla - NO!  Lets have something to look forward to, a stepping stone in the bleak mid winter - The 2010 WyndyMilla Winter Training Camp to Club La Santa, Lanzarote comes to the rescue.

So I’ll put you in the picture;

* Club La Santa, is a purpose built complex for active people, I’ve lost count of how many times I have been, it is a real home from home.  There is a running track, gym, tennis courts, 50m pool, leisure pool, supermarket, restaurants, perfect training terrain etc etc etc.

* It’s a bit last minute dot com, but we’re thinking about going from the 7th to 21st Jan 2010.  23 degree heat, quiet roads, and only a 3hr 45 flight away. It will boost your endurance to a level it has never been before.

* Our plan; if you want to start 2010 with a bang, and strip off back down to jersey & shorts, we’re offering structured training for a full two weeks if you’re keen, or part thereof.  It is very much a trip for all levels, with Nasima heading up rides just for the girls.

Club La Santa

* The apartments at Club La Santa are no frills, but clean & efficiently run. Jensen Button, Colin Jackson & James Cracknell amongst many others cope every year so I think we’ll survive. They start from about £615 for a week, for economy it is possible to share 3 ways - we can match you up! Flights if you book now are about £100. So it could be around £300 all in if you share.

* Booking is through Sports Tours, although you will normally find the best flights if you search yourself. Best to get in touch with us if you are interested and we can sort the booking for you.

* The riding is great, good road surfaces, real diversity and all the Brits that earn Lanzarote it’s unfair nickname ‘Grotty’, are bused into two resorts on the other side of the island, so the roads are very very quiet.

* I promise, after a week in Lanzarote you will come back fit, lean, suntanned & ready to take on the world. What a refreshing state to return from a holiday in!

* We are offering guided rides, training & nutritional advice to members of the WyndyMilla family at all levels. Remember, we have no membership fee, to be a part of the club, you simply have to fly the flag & wear our ‘New Skool’ kit. WM training at Club La Santa is free if you own a WM bike, £100 per week if you own WM kit, or £150per week if you are strangely devoid of WM bling! POA for 2 weeks. .

Please feel free to call or email if you think you may be in anyway interested. Club La Santa is great fun & the perfect spot to rub shoulders with lots of other like minded folk & athletes from recreational to top international pros. I hope you will join us.

In the meantime, bumping back down to earth, our winter kit will arrive on October 28th, and we are all set for cyclefitting should you want to improve you set-up. Would love to see you, I promise all cyclefits involve cake.

Hello from ‘WyndyMilla’,

Don’t get down, it may be Monday, but the summer is not over yet! And anyway, maybe, it’s time to start focusing on the big goals for 2010. .

So how about this!? The new ‘WyndyMilla’ workshop & cycle fit studio has opened it’s doors. The studio also doubles up as a nerve center for the ‘WyndyMilla’ club, and a test center for our custom bikes & kit. . .

Why not take a positive first step for 2010 and get that bike position sorted out! Here’s the deal, until Nasima & I have become total cycle fit aficionado’s, we are offering an introductory rate of £80 ending November.

Taking shape!

The fitting will take 2-3 hours and can be customised for any type of bike/rider. It would be great to see you, think about it, a morning or afternoon off work, just to focus on you; your bike, your training, your nutrition and a new faster finely tuned animal for 2010! Uniquely, our cycle fits include road testing in the Surrey hills, with optional tea & cake stop of course.

We are using the state of the art Bikefitting.com system which enables us to take precise measurements whilst also being able to apply our own touches to the final set-up, (hence road testing). In short we are offering simple no nonsense cycle fitting at an affordable price. Bikefitting is a pretty neat system, the software is constantly updated so we can even input the exact thickness of the sole of your bike shoe. . !

It goes with out saying that we also apply our years of Personal Training & Nutrition from ‘The Firm PT’ to the equation, so you come away cycle fitted, re trained & nutrionally focused. . . It can all add up to quite a difference on the road.

As always, we are trying to encourage a regualar crowd to ride out at 9am from outside The Cafe, Roehampton Gate, Richmond Park on Sunday mornings, so we hope you can make it sometime soon.
